Privacy Policy

I am Siddharth Vira and this site, siddharthvira.com, is my personal blog. This page explains what I collect, why I collect it, and what you can ask me to do about it.

What I collect

  • If you comment, WordPress stores the name and email linked to your account. Comments require a logged-in account, so I collect nothing from anonymous visitors.
  • Basic analytics: pages viewed, referring source, device type and country, through Google Analytics and Site Kit. I do not see your name from this.
  • Server logs kept by my host, MilesWeb, which include IP addresses for security and abuse prevention.
  • If you email me, I keep the email so I can reply.

How I use it

To see which posts are read, to keep the site working and secure, and to reply when you write to me. I do not sell data and I do not run a mailing list.

Third parties

Google Analytics and Site Kit for stats, LiteSpeed Cache for speed, and MilesWeb for hosting. If I enable advertising, Google AdSense may set its own cookies.

How long I keep it

Analytics for the period Google retains by default, comments for as long as the post exists, and emails for as long as our conversation is useful.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask me to show you what I hold, correct it, or erase it. Write to sidvira91@gmail.com and I will act on it. If you are outside India, I will apply the same request.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 18 and I do not knowingly collect their data.
